WHAT IS PDGF?
PDGF, short for platelet derived growth factors, is the new era of skin and hair restoration known for its advanced regenerative properties. Platelet-Derived Growth Factor is a naturally occurring protein found in platelets and various other cells. It is one of the primary growth factors responsible for wound healing, tissue repair, and cellular regeneration. PDGF focuses on specific cellular mechanisms, making it a potent and predictable agent in skin rejuvenation.
PDGF is pharmaceutical-grade, and every lot is the same – pure, potent, predictable, sterile, safe and FDA approved. PDGF HAS BEEN IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR 15 YEARS AND NOW INTRODUCED TO THE AESTHETICS ARENA SINCE 2024. IT’S SCIENCE BACKED AND THE CLINICAL RESULTS ARE AMAZING!
WHAT TREATMENTS ARE BEST COMBINED WITH PDGF?
PDGF is potently effective both topically or injected because of its advanced wound healing properties. PDGF is versatile and best paired with modalities or other treatments such as:
- Micro-needling
- Laser resurfacing
- Chemical peels
- Under-eye rejuvenation
- Hair restoration
HOW DOES PDGF WORK?:
PDGF interacts with skin cells at a molecular level, promoting:
Fibroblast Activation: PDGF binds to receptors on fibroblast cells to produce collagen and elastin, essential for firm, resilient skin.
Cell Renewal: Promotes the growth of new skin cells, helping repair damage and improve overall skin texture.
Enhanced Blood Flow: Enhances the formation of new blood vessels, which can contribute to a more radiant and healthier complexion by delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the skin.
Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Reduces redness and swelling, supporting a faster recovery process after procedures.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
The results are immediate and gradual over a 8 week period of time. Clients need less treatments to see results with PDGF. Most clients see the best results with 1 -2 treatments spaced 8 weeks apart, with maintenance sessions every 12-18 months depending on skin needs.

HOW IS PDGF DIFFERENT:
How is PDGF different from other regenerative products/treatments like PRP/PRF?
PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are both used in aesthetic and healing treatments, but they differ significantly in their composition and application. PDGF is a specific growth factor, lab-created, known for its potency and consistency. PRF on the other hand, is a natural platelet concentrate derived from a patient's own blood, containing a variety of growth factors and a fibrin matrix for sustained release.
PDGF is a lab-purified and highly concentrated bioactive protein that can be 1,000 to 300,000 times more potent than PRF. This higher concentration allows PDGF to deliver more effective and faster results in skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and other aesthetic procedures. Since PRF contains a mix of your body’s natural growth factors, the actual content can vary significantly depending on factors like age, hydration, stress levels, and overall health. PDGF delivers a controlled, sterile, pharmaceutical-grade dose of PDGF-BB that’s both more concentrated and more predictable than anything derived from a blood draw.
